Suzanne Jutras, Gabriel Jasmin, Chantal Raymond and Loucas Perreault Montreal South Shore Helicopter Accident, Death and Obituary

Suzanne Jutras, Gabriel Jasmin, Chantal Raymond and Loucas Perreault have been identified as the four people who died following a helicopter crash on Montreal’s South Shore Saturday afternoon.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) was called to the crash site around 2:30 p.m. after a helicopter went down and caught fire near Rang des Écossais, off Highway 10, in Sainte-Brigide-d’Iberville. All four occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

Jutras, 50, was an experienced pilot who had flown helicopters for several years and had owned two helicopters. Her stepbrother and neighbour confirmed her death to CTV News.

The family festival Les Félixeries, where Jutras had served as a pilot for three years, paid tribute to her following the crash. The organization remembered her as a beloved pilot and extended condolences to her partner, family and friends, while highlighting the kindness with which she shared her passion for flying.

Jutras’ husband, Yves Boulais, is a field crop farmer and former dairy farmer in the region. The Haut-Richelieu UPA Union expressed its condolences to Boulais, the family and everyone affected by Jutras’ death.

The other three victims were identified by Océane Perreault as her partner, Gabriel Jasmin, her mother, Chantal Raymond, and her brother, Loucas Perreault.

Perreault described the helicopter trip as something that was intended to be a special part of her mother’s celebration before the flight ended in tragedy. She spoke of the profound pain and shock of losing three people she loved.

Jasmin was a host at Sherbrooke-based radio station 106.1 Énergie and shared a daughter with Océane Perreault. Bell Media, which owns the station, also expressed condolences following his death.

The crash has left families, friends, colleagues and communities across the region grieving four lives lost in a devastating accident. Investigators continue working to establish the circumstances surrounding the helicopter crash.
