William “Blake” Driskell, a cherished son, beloved brother, devoted cousin and loyal friend, died on September 23, 2026, at the age of 22. Born on November 7, 2003, in Waco, Texas, Blake was deeply loved by his parents, Robyn and Will Driskell, and by the many family members and friends whose lives he touched.
Blake grew up in Waco surrounded by love, faith and laughter. His family remembers him as someone who brought happiness to those fortunate enough to know him.
A graduate of Midway High School in 2022, Blake went on to attend Baylor University, graduating in 2026. He was continuing his education through Baylor’s Master of Accountancy program and had recently given his family another reason to celebrate after receiving a full-time job offer from Ernst & Young in Houston.
Blake had a lifelong passion for sports. He played basketball and golf and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Baylor Bears, Houston Astros and Houston Texans. He especially treasured attending Houston Astros playoff and World Series games. Among his favorite memories were attending Baylor’s men’s basketball national championship and the Big 12 Football Championship in 2021.
At Baylor, Blake was an active member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, where he developed deep and lasting friendships. His fraternity brothers remembered him as a loyal and dependable friend, a hard worker and someone who could always be counted on. They also cherished his quick wit, memorable one-liners and exceptional athletic ability.
Family held an equally special place in Blake’s life. He was a devoted older brother to Rachel and shared a close bond with his cousins Marshall, Matthew and Hailey, who attended Baylor together.
Blake is survived by his parents, Robyn and Will; his sister, Rachel; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his aunt, Nancy Driskell.
A memorial service celebrating Blake’s life will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 4 p.m. at Baylor University’s Hurd Welcome Center.
In his honor, the family has established the Blake Driskell Endowed Scholarship at Baylor University, creating a lasting way to remember his life and connection to the university.
William “Blake” Driskell will be deeply missed by his family, friends, fraternity brothers and the Baylor community, but his loyalty, humor, athletic spirit and the memories he created will continue to live on in those who loved him.
