Snezana Wood is widely known to Australian television audiences for her relationship with Sam Wood after appearing on The Bachelor Australia in 2015. Their romance became one of the franchise’s better-known success stories, eventually leading to marriage and a growing family.
Before meeting Sam, however, Snezana had already experienced marriage and motherhood. Her former husband, Jason Rapoff, is the biological father of her eldest daughter, Eve.
Snezana and Rapoff married in January 2005 and welcomed Eve that year. Their marriage was short-lived, and they separated when their daughter was only around two months old. Snezana subsequently became the primary parent during Eve’s childhood.
Rapoff had previously competed in motocross in Western Australia and was described as a talented junior competitor. His life changed dramatically after a dirt-bike accident at his family’s property in Bindoon left him paraplegic following a serious spinal injury.
Rapoff later spoke about the emotional and personal difficulties that followed the accident. His struggles included substance addiction and periods of imprisonment. He served a 12-month sentence in 2005 after being convicted of possessing methamphetamine and two firearms. He was later imprisoned again following another drug-related offence.
Despite his disability, Rapoff eventually returned to motorsport, including quad-bike riding and burnout competitions. He modified a Holden Commodore with hand controls so he could continue participating in the activity that had played such an important role in his life.
Rapoff’s history became more publicly known when Snezana appeared on The Bachelor Australia. At the time, concerns were raised about Snezana potentially moving from Western Australia to Melbourne with Eve if she and Sam Wood formed a serious relationship.
Snezana and Sam ultimately married in Byron Bay in December 2018. Together they welcomed three daughters, Willow, Charlie and Harper, joining Eve to form a blended family of four girls.
Sam has played an important parental role in Eve’s life and has publicly described himself as her dad. Eve has also taken the Wood surname.
In 2025, Eve publicly discussed her estrangement from her biological father, describing the emotional impact of comments she said he had made and indicating that she had not seen him for several years.
Today, Eve is an adult pursuing her own interests, including fashion studies in New York. Snezana and Sam continue to raise their three younger daughters while maintaining their family life away from much of the controversy surrounding Snezana’s earlier years.
Rapoff’s current relationship with Eve has not been clearly established publicly, and claims of reconciliation should not be assumed without confirmation. His story remains a complicated chapter in Snezana Wood’s journey from young single mother to wife, mother and television personality.
